Eagles Nest is a private two-bedroom self-catering cottage surrounded by gardens and mature trees, with the Mondi forests directly behind the property.
The main bedroom has a queen-size extra-length bed with an electric blanket and an en-suite walk-in shower. The second bedroom has two three-quarter beds and an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath.
The cottage has WiFi and a Smart TV with Netflix, and guests can log in to their own DStv Stream account.
The kitchen is equipped with a four-plate gas stove, fridge-freezer, kettle, coffee machine and cookware, with a Weber braai available outside. Complimentary tea, coffee, rooibos tea, sugar and full-cream milk are provided.
Outside, a wooden hammock hangs beneath the trees – a lovely spot for an afternoon nap or simply enjoying the garden and birdlife. The property attracts an incredible variety of birds, with regular visitors including Burchell's coucals, kingfishers, African fish eagles, woodpeckers and African hoopoes. Sightings naturally vary, but these species are all regularly seen around the property and surrounding area.
Guests also have direct access to the Mondi forests behind us, with peaceful trails ideal for walking, jogging and cycling.
A complimentary cleaning service is provided Sunday to Friday. Saturday housekeeping is available for R150 and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Undercover parking is provided for one vehicle, and access to the property is easy via our paved driveway directly from the main road.

Eagle's Nest sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom: a queen-size extra-length bed and walk-in shower en-suite, and a second bedroom with two 3/4 beds and a free-standing bath en-suite. Electric blankets on all the beds. The kitchen has a 4-plate gas stove, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and basic cookware, plus a Weber braai, smart TV with Netflix, and WiFi. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk, sugar and rooibos are stocked.

Self-catering means that meals are not provided, so guests need to bring their own food and prepare their own meals. Eagle’s Nest has a kitchen with a 4-plate gas stove, fridge-freezer and cookware, as well as a Weber braai outside. We provide complimentary tea and coffee, as well as one basket of firewood on arrival. Thereafter, guests will need to provide their own firewood, charcoal, spices, condiments and any other cooking supplies they may need.
The Mondi Forest walking, running and cycling trails are right outside our gate - you can simply walk from the property straight into the forest. The trails are well used and offer a wonderful, safe way to explore the area. Hilton also has a fantastic selection of cafés, restaurants and foodie spots, with plenty more to see and do throughout the Midlands. We are conveniently situated along Hilton College Road, just 2.1 km from the N3, surrounded by beautiful Mondi forests and countryside. Our entrance is at 8 Hilton College Road. We recommend using Waze for the most accurate navigation.
